Working Principle

A low voltage (undervoltage) relay continuously monitors the voltage in a circuit. When the voltage falls below a predefined limit, the relay activates a trip mechanism that disconnects the load from the power source, preventing equipment from operating under unsafe conditions . This is crucial because low voltage forces motors, transformers, and other devices to draw higher currents, which can cause overheating, insulation damage, and premature failure .
