Once the cable is laid, secure it in the duct or manhole to prevent movement. For short sections, ensure the cable is properly capped or sealed to prevent moisture ingress. Verify that the cable is stress-free and that no part of it exceeds the recommended strain limits, typically less than 0.5% fiber strain .
