Control Vertical Strain and Gravity When installing vertically, support the cable at frequent intervals to prevent excessive strain from gravity. Use hand-tightened hook-and-loop fasteners or Kellems grips to secure cables without crushing them . Drop cables down rather than pulling them up whenever possible to reduce tension. 5. Maintain Proper Spacing and Fill Do not exceed 40% of tray capacity to avoid overcrowding, which can increase heat and stress on the fibers. Organize cables neatly and avoid crossing or tangling . 6. Use Service Loops Include service loops at intervals or near terminations to allow for future maintenance, rerouting, or repairs without stressing the cable . 7. Labeling and Documentation Mark cables clearly according to standards (e.g., TIA-606-C) to ensure easy identification and maintenance . 8. Environmental Considerations Ensure the tray material and finish are suitable for the environment (e.g., galvanized steel for indoor, stainless steel or aluminum for corrosive or high-humidity areas), .
