Overview

Single-fiber bidirectional (BiDi) QSFP transceivers allow simultaneous transmit and receive signals over a single fiber, reducing cabling requirements and enabling network upgrades without installing additional fiber. These modules are widely used in data centers, enterprise networks, and edge access networks where fiber resources are limited.

100G Single-Fiber BiDi QSFP

  • Cisco QSFP-100G-B20U4-I / QSFP-100G-B20D4-I: Provides 100Gbps full-duplex connectivity over single-mode fiber up to 20 km. Operates in the O-band to minimize fiber dispersion and uses NRZ modulation. Each transceiver has 4 transmitters and 4 receivers, and they operate in pairs for full-duplex communication. Using two pairs can achieve 200Gbps bandwidth and network resiliency .
  • Walsun 100G QSFP28 ZR4 BIDI: Supports single-fiber bidirectional transmission up to 80 km using a 4x25G NRZ scheme. 40G Single-Fiber BiDi QSFP
