KVM4 Switcher Installation Method

The DKVM-4U KVM switch can be installed by connecting your keyboard, mouse, monitor, and computers using the included KVM cables, with hot-swappable support and optional hotkey switching.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Connect Console Peripherals

• Attach your USB keyboard to the DKVM-4U console USB keyboard port.
• Attach your USB mouse to the console USB mouse port.
• Connect your monitor to the DKVM-4U VGA console port . 2. Connect Computers to the KVM Switch
• Using the included KVM cables, connect the USB B-type connector to the DKVM-4U USB port and the VGA connector to the DKVM-4U VGA port.
• Connect the other end of the KVM cable to each computer: the VGA connector to the computer's VGA port and the USB A-type connector to an available USB port on the computer .
• Repeat this process for all computers you want to control with the KVM switch. 3. Power and Hot-Swap Support
• The DKVM-4U is hot-swappable, so you do not need to turn off your computers before installation .
• Ensure that the keyboard and mouse are connected to the correct USB ports (keyboard to keyboard port, mouse to mouse port) to avoid detection issues. 4. Switching Between Computers
• Use the Select button on the top panel to switch between connected computers. The LED indicator will show the currently selected computer .
• Alternatively, use keyboard hotkeys: press the Scroll Lock key twice (or Home, Caps Lock, or Num Lock depending on configuration) to enter hotkey mode. Then use the designated key combination to switch to a specific computer or enable auto-scan mode . 5. Troubleshooting USB Detection
• If the keyboard or mouse is not detected during startup, ensure the computer's BIOS supports USB boot-up.
