H3C Core Switch Reboot

You can reboot an H3C switch using the command line interface or the web management interface.

Rebooting via Command Line Interface (CLI)

1. Access the Switch: Connect to your H3C switch using a console cable or SSH.
2. Enter System View: Type the command system-view to enter the system configuration mode.
3. Reboot Command: Use the command reboot to restart the switch. You may be prompted to confirm the action. Type y to proceed with the reboot .

Scheduling a Reboot

• If you want to schedule a reboot, you can use the command:

  schedule reboot at hh:mm [yyyy/mm/dd] Replace hh:mm with the desired time and yyyy/mm/dd with the date if needed. This command allows you to set a specific time for the switch to reboot .

Rebooting via Web Management Interface

1. Log in to the Web Interface: Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the switch to access the web management interface.
2. Navigate to Maintenance: From the left navigation pane, select Device > Maintenance > Reboot.
3. Confirm Reboot: Click on Reboot Device, then confirm the action in the dialog box that appears .

Important Considerations

• Service Interruption: Rebooting the switch will interrupt ongoing services, so it is advisable to perform this operation during a maintenance window or when it will have minimal impact on users.
• Configuration Retention: Ensure that all configurations are saved before rebooting to avoid losing any unsaved changes. By following these steps, you can effectively reboot your H3C switch using either the CLI or the web interface.
