The acquiring company, Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing (DSBJ), is a Chinese manufacturer specializing in stamping and sheet metal products. Founded in 1998 and based in Suzhou, China, DSBJ produces a wide range of products for telecommunications, consumer electronics, industrial, medical, and automotive markets . The acquisition of Source Photonics strengthens DSBJ's presence in the optical communications sector, providing vertical integration in optical module manufacturing and expanding its global footprint. This acquisition reflects a broader trend in the optical module industry, where Chinese companies are increasingly consolidating and expanding their capabilities.
